Years ago, Jannah Hotels & Resorts' Chief Executive Officer, Nehme Imad Darwiche, got to meet just such a character - a real life Bedouin.
The Bedouin taught him countless things about the desert, shared his stories about life and highlighted what to do in order to survive.
Today, Jannah Hotels & Resorts logo is an embodiment of this vision, represented by an olive tree carrying turquoise stones. To the dreamer, the olive trees in the desert appear as a paradisiacal garden of possibility and potential. ‘Jannah’ is Arabic for ‘paradise’ or short for ‘garden’, thereby being the perfect word to describe the dream’s essence and headline the company’s name: Jannah Hotels & Resorts.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
With a wealth of make-it-happen skills and a deep attachment to the region’s indigenous traditions, Nehme brings passion and know-how to our international team. He spearheads our vision and ensures that every step from well-devised strategies through to detailed operational management initiatives, are delivered professionally and successfully.
Chief Operating Officer
A graduate of BA in Hospitality Management from the American University of C&E and Cornell University, with an extensive operational and concept development experience. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Mohamed applies more than 20 years of international hospitality operations and experience ensuring integration and consistency across all Jannah Hotels & Resorts in the region to direct the group’s growth & development.
Chief Commercial Officer
Highly dynamic, flexible and social individual with backgrounds in sales and marketing, Guillaume graduated as a BBA holder in International Sales and Marketing from Northwood University in the Netherlands and in the United States. With 10 years of experience in the Swatch Group as a regional sales manager, he acquired international cross-cultural skills through his role, making him an empathic individual with a strong affinity for guest satisfaction.
Worldwide Marketing Director
Known for tireless work ethics and an energetic presentation, Soraya started her career with a passion for luxury brands, understanding their stories which evolved in an elaborate network of beliefs about the role of Marketing in the business world. This was when Soraya decided to pursue a Masters in Marketing. Living between Casablanca and Tokyo gave her broad exposure to multiple fields and cultures and allowed her to be proficient in five international languages. She is dedicated to conquer the world with the Jannah Hotels & Resorts brand.
Research & Development Analyst
Javier joined Jannah Hotels & Resorts after graduating from Glion Institute of Higher Education with a BA in Hotel Management with specialization in Real Estate Finance and Revenue Management. He has assisted the company on multiple projects involving market and financial studies across the UAE and the European market with hotel developments. Javier brings to the company considerable experience from the US market, with frontline experience in a Michelin star restaurant at the Peninsula Chicago and front office experience with Marriott.
Director of Legal Affairs
Sayed graduated from the Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Law in Egypt. After graduation and training in Egypt, he started working in United Arab Emirates. He has extensive experience working in GASCO company, in the private department for His Highness SHEIKH ZAYED BIN SULTAN AL-NAHYAN and in the Department of President’s affairs as administrator and general manager.
Director of Security
Having a wide experience in safety and security department, Yassin is responsible for securing an organization’s safety and heading the security intelligence. His experience includes heading the security in Tamarind & Carnivore Restaurants, Ambassador Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, as well as a couple of hotels in Abu Dhabi prior to joining Jannah Hotels & Resorts.
